passive aggressive. A Corporate success with a failed marriage.
ANNIE (Colette Boudreaux*): Jodi’s sister. Still a bit of a hippie. Also, originally from Paramus, NJ. Never married. Took care of her parents at Sandy Shores Mobile Home Beach Resort. Rock and Roller, who loves to support causes.
KARLA (Jo Wymer): Jodi and Annie’s “fun loving” cousin from Philly. As a teenager, she was wild, and she still likes to stir it up. Loves her husband of 25 years.
BARBARA (Heather Brown Varley): Their best friend from Staten Island. Says what she thinks with no apologies. Never thought she could love anything more than THE BIKINIS and R&B, until she met her husband, Benny.

Ray Roderick (Co-Writer) most recently directed and adapted the book for CHITTY, CHITTY, BANG, BANG North American National Tour. He was associate director of A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Madison Square Garden for six years, where he was privileged to work with original director Mike Ockrent. He was also associate director for Susan Stroman’s Broadway revival of THE MUSIC MAN, and subsequently directed the successful 3 year North American Tour. He co-wrote, directed and Choreographed Irving Berlin’s I LOVE A PIANO (Carbonell Award nomination best choreography, Florida Stage) now heading into its 3rd year of National Tour. OffBroadway, Ray directed and co-wrote the new musical THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER (published by Samuel French), and directed and choreographed THE ARK, LAMOUR THE MERRIER and THE STORY GOES ON. He also co-wrote, directed and choreographed HEAVEN HELP US! (Carbonell Award nomination, best new work, Florida Stage), A CHRISTMAS SURVIVAL GUIDE (published by Samuel French) and I LOVE NEW YORK (Bistro Award, Best Musical Review 1999). Ray was the founding artistic director of Tri-State Center for the Arts, where he remained at the helm for seven years. With partner James Hindman he formed Miracle or 2 Productions (Miracleor2.com), dedicated to the creation and development of the new American musical. Together, they have written the new musicals ARE WE THERE YET?, COMING TO AMERICA, and soon to come…THE BIKINIS! At the Denver Center Ray has directed and choreographed THE LAST 5 YEARS, THE TAFFETAS and I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE! (longest running show in Denver history). Ray begins his tenth year as creative director for the United States Tennis Association’s US Open, where he creates on court ceremonies for live television and is the Director of ARTHUR ASHE KIDS DAY for CBS. He is creative consultant and has written the English adaptation for the Chinese production of CHUN YI, THE LEGEND OF KUNG FU now in its fourth year in Beijing and touring Japan, Russia and The London Coliseum. Ray directed SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN and 42nd STREET at Goodpeed Opera House, and directed and choreographed an all new production of BARNUM for Westchester Broadway Theatre. He also directed BELIEVE, the award winning SHAMU (killer whale) show for SeaWorld in San Diego. As Broadway performer, Ray was seen in many shows, including BARNUM starring Jim Dale and Glenn Close, GRIND, CATS, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, CRAZY FOR YOU and A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM starring Nathan Lane and Whoppi Goldberg. Ray resides in New York, is married to Broadway actress Karyn Quackenbush, and is the proud father of SUNY Purchase student and lighting designer Jamie Roderick.
Joseph Baker (Lyricist/Musical Arrangements) is delighted that THE BIKINIS have returned to the Jersey Shore this summer in Ocean Grove! As a Music Director/Conductor, Mister B has been performing on and around Broadway for over 35 years. Shows include: WICKED, SHREK, THE LION KING, BLOOD BROTHERS, THE LIFE, GRAND HOTEL, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, THE TAP DANCE KID, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, CATSKILLS ON BROADWAY, FOOTLOOSE, BELLS ARE RINGING, and LAUGHING ROOM ONLY. He has also done duties as Orchestrator, Vocal Arranger or Dance Arranger on shows as: BUBBLY BLACK GIRL, THE GREEN HEART, PLAY IT COOL and FOOTLOOSE. He has performed with several well-known artists on the concert stage, and especially enjoys work in the symphonic orchestra field. He has conducted for Artists such as Carole King, Petula Clarke, Art Garfunkel, David and Shaun Cassidy, Helen Reddy, Chita Rivera, Leslie Uggams, and other Broadway Notables
As a composer, Mr. Baker is delighted to be part of the team that created THE BIKINIS.
His new musical, BROOKLYN’s BRIDGE, is slated for a full production in Jan 2024 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. He is also hard at work on another musical about 2 great actresses in the 19th century (shhhh, it’s a secret!)
As a teacher and vocal coach, Mr. Baker has worked with many Broadway and media superstars; Jean Valjeans, Jeckyll and Hydes, Phantoms, Christines, Fantines, Cosettes, Matildas, Etc!. As a professional children's coach, his students have appeared in various shows, tv, films. The short list: MARY POPPINS, SHREK, KINKY BOOTS, LION KING, MATILDA, CHRISTMAS STORY, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, WHITE CHRISTMAS, LES MISERABLES, BILLY ELLIOT, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC live on television.
He created the BROADWAY YOUTH ENSEMBLE more than a decade ago, and for 3 seasons was the Creator and Director of Broadway In The Mountains Summer Camp.
Teaching remains one of his greatest passions.

William Whitefield (Director) is a singer, songwriter, composer, lyricist, director, promoter, arts educator and actor who hails originally from Nashville, TN. He is a founding Board member and the Producing Artistic Director of APTCo, having recently directed their first hit show, Green Day's American Idiot this past summer. He was the Executive Director at Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, NJ for six years. While there, he produced over 30 main stage Broadway style shows such as the New Jersey premiere of Spamalot starring Robert Johanson, Joseph….., Tuesdays with Morrie, The 1940s Radio Hour, The Music Man, Always, Patsy Cline starring Emmy Award Winner Sally Struthers and Carter Calvert, Kids Say the Darndest Things starring Patrick Cassidy, My Fair Lady, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Shrek, The King & I, Annie Get Your Gun and South Pacific.
As a composer he collaborated with the late science fiction writer Ray Bradbury on the musical adaptation of Mr. Bradbury's short story, The Day It Rained Forever. He also had the great fortune to work with the late fiction novelist Mary Higgins Clark on an adaptation of her new children’s book, The Magical Christmas Horse, composing the music and co-writing the lyrics with playwright Cynthia Mitchell Payne, and the show had a successful run at Algonquin Arts Theatre. At Cherry County Playhouse in Muskegon, MI, he co-composed music and lyrics along with playwright/co-lyricist/director Bill Castellino and co-composer/co-lyricist Christopher McGovern for Crash Club, a new hip-hop musical for teens that was choreographed by Emmy Award winning and Tony Award nominated choreographer Joshua Bergasse. He was the composer and co-lyricist for Queen Esther, which he co-wrote with playwright Lenora Conway.
As an actor he has been seen in the lead role of Giuseppe in The Gondoliers, the role of Florian in Princess Ida, the role of Bill Bobstay in H.M.S. Pinafore and as a pirate in The Pirates of Penzance starring Hal Linden, all at City Center in New York City. He was featured in The Presidents starring Rich Little and directed by Bill Castellino, first at the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center and then at TheatreFest in Montclair, NJ. The show was later taped for TV at The Paris Theatre, Las Vegas and subsequently aired on PBS. As a commercial actor, he has appeared in several TV commercials for such companies as Letgo, YOPA (England), Benjamin Moore Paints, Office Depot among others.
As a songwriter he wrote the music with lyricist Nick De Biase for two songs for Centaur Records: “Every Time You’re Near” performed by Tony Award winner Alice Ripley on the CD, Utopia and “Never Letting Go” sung by Elsa Raven on the CD, Dance With Angels. He also wrote the music with lyricist Bill Castellino for Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker’s recording of “Fine” which is featured on her album, Leaving Home, produced by Christopher McGovern.
As a singer he made appearances around the globe from 2001 to 2018 with the famous disco group Village People, officially replacing David Hodo as the Construction Worker in the group in 2013. He is a proud member of ASCAP, SAG-AFTRA, Actors Equity Association and Dramatist Guild. He earned his BA in Theatre at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, teaches voice and produces music in his home where he resides with his husband Christopher Verdi.
Michael Gilch (Music Director, Conductor) is a versatile Asbury Park-based musician, composer, and arranger. He has played in Broadway pits, Village jazz clubs, and conducted pit orchestras in many NYC/NJ regional theatres and universities. Special thanks to Bill for bringing him aboard for his first APTCo show, Natalie for her creativity and friendship, and the Fab Four for their hard work on these sweet bops. Natalie Hayes-Scott (Choreographer) has has appeared in several shows with Dunbar
Repertory Company, Algonquin Arts Theatre, Spring Lake Theatre and Axelrod
Performing Arts Center. Some credits include A Chorus Line, Hairspray, Little Shop of
Horrors, and Dreamgirls. She lives in Long Branch, NJ and is an educator,
teaching artist, and performer.
Trina Peduto Colford (Costume Design & Props)
Mainly working behind the scenes since high school, Trina has costumed over 30 productions, including Bye Bye Birdie, Little Shop of Horrors, Me and My Gal, No , No Nanette, The Boyfriend, Leader of The Pack, Godspell and Dream Girls to name a few. She was the house manager at Two River Theater in Red Bank, and the House Manager and volunteer coordinator for ReVision Theatre in Asbury Park. She is also a photographer and her work has been exhibited in Monmouth County and her photos have appeared in newspapers and on television. Trina created and produced, “Reflections on Ice”, an ice skating extravaganza featuring Olympic Skating champions which benefitted the Special Olympics. She has been nominated by the Rising Star Program at the Paper Mill Playhouse for her costume design for “No, No Nanette”, and by The Count Basie Theatre Basie Awards for outstanding costume design for the “Wiz’, and set design for “Always A Bridesmaid”.. Trina sends love and hugs to her 4 children, Courtney, Ryan, his wife Justine, Lindsay and Rory and her husband Scott , and of course, her “LOVEYS", Ryan, 11, Brayden 9 and Greyson, 6, and Pearl, 2 ½ and Parker, 11 months. Glamma loves you more than chocolate covered pretzels!
Sam Guenzburger (Sound Design & Board Operator) is an audio engineer and musician currently studying music at Rutgers University. He is thrilled to be running sound for his first production with APTCo. Tech credits include Clue and Wacky Hijinks by The College Ave Players. He has written comedy sketches and music for one act festivals at Brookdale Community College and Rutgers University. Sam has written music for TV, short films, and music libraries. He scored segments of the PBS series, Born to Explore with Richard Wiese. Notable placements include 2018 Golf on CBS, Southern Charm Savannah on Bravo, The Vet Life on Animal Planet, and Love and Hip Hop on VH1. Sam serves as Music Director at Oceanport United Methodist Church, and as a music director at Music Makers NY, a rehearsal studio. Sam has worked with artists as an engineer and producer. He would like to thank everyone involved in The Bikinis for putting together a great show.
Richard Travali (Sound) began his career at New York’s legendary Hit Factory Recording Studios, assisting world class engineers & mixers such as Bob Clearmountain, Tom Lord Alge, and Roy Halee. He’s recorded Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, and Luther Vandross in addition to working with Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Paul Simon — including the latter’s “The Rhythm of the Saints” LP, “The Capeman” musical, & “Paul Simon’s Concert in the Park,” which earned him an Emmy Award
Nomination for live sound mixing.
Travali went freelance in the 1990s as Hip Hop and R&B were exploding. He began working with Puff Daddy in the early days of Bad Boy Entertainment, who called on him to mix the majority of Notorious B.I.G.’s debut album. For the next two decades plus, Travali mixed numerous Platinum and Gold Records, with Billboard #1 hits in the Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop genres. Notable producers and artists including Robin Thicke, Pharrell, The Neptunes and The Trackmasters routinely continue to utilize Travali’s expert skills in many of the finest studios in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Paris.
Travali mixes in his private facility on the Jersey Shore, while maintaining relationships with several world-class studios in New York and New Jersey for clients that require his recording skills in addition to mixing. Rich is proud to lend his services to clients on all levels of the industry: major-label, indie and self-financed. Outside the studio Travali’s interests include cats, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, single barrel bourbon & fine cigars.
Paula Ciko (Lighting Design) is a rising senior at Rider University majoring in Theatre Design and Technology concentrating in Lighting Design. Her technical credits from Rider include: Pippin (Light Board Op), Hansel und Gretal (Light Board Op), Rider New Works 2022 (Lighting Designer), K&E Cabaret (Assistant Lighting Designer), Kiss Me Kate (Assistant Lighting Designer), One Act Play That Goes Wrong (Assistant Lighting Designer), Cendrillon(Assistant Lighting Designer and Light Board Op) and Puffs (Lighting Designer).
Ryan Alger (Stage Manager) is so excited to be back for her third show with APTCo! She is a recent graduate from Rider University (Spring 2022) where she majored in Technical Theater and minored in Dance. Most recent credits include American Son (APTCo), American Idiot (APTCo.) and Kinky Boots! (Algonquin Arts Theatre). Thank you to Bill and Bob for giving Ryan yet another amazing opportunity. Jack Hadden (Asst. Stage Manager) is a Brookdale graduate and after a long hiatus returns to assist backstage. As President of Brookdale Filmmakers club, He produced, directed, and acted in a multitude of short films. Jack previously worked on a
stage production of Shakespeare Abridged. His past technical theater credits include American Son (APTCo). Jack wants to thank his Dad Joe Hadden for being his comedy mentor.
Jeanne Montano* (Jodi) is thrilled to be performing basically “in her backyard” and working with this talented Bikini’s cast!
She Performed both on Broadway and in the National Tour of CATS performing the roles of Jellylorum, Jennyanydots and the iconic Grizzabella.
She has also been happily performing Forbidden Broadway both in New York, across the country and overseas (literally) where she has parodied everyone from Idina Menzel to Kristen Chenoweth to Carrie Underwood, Liza, Chita, Sarah Brightman, Frankie Valli, Lin Manuel Miranda, Patti, Yoko and many, many more.

Colette Boudreaux* (Annie) is thrilled to be making her debut with Asbury Park Theater Company. She has been praised for her “richly beautiful instrument – supple, silvery in tone, technically secure, and dramatically convincing" (Classical Voice of North Carolina). With an impressive ability to connect to audiences in an extensive range of characters, Boudreaux’s performances have been called “sensitive” and “commanding” (David Shengold, Opera Magazine), “saucy; playfully vamping, yet serenely professional” (Knoxville Magazine) and “expressive... holding the audience completely engaged” (Biltmore Beacon).
As a noted ‘triple threat’, Ms. Boudreaux has enjoyed performing with a range of notable organizations. At the historic Shawnee Playhouse, she debuted as Laurey (Oklahoma!) and returning as Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (where she stepped in as choreographer) and as Guenevere in Camelot. Always an advocate for new work, she performed at New York’s International Fringe Festival, and was delighted to perform the lead role of Kim in Center for Contemporary Opera’s production of Eric Salzman’s futuristic piece, Big Jim and the Small Time Investors. A favorite debut was with St. Petersburg Opera as Anybodys in West Side Story (performing “Somewhere” and as dance captain), where she returned to play Frasquita in Carmen the following season. An accomplished symphonic soloist, Ms. Boudreaux performed with the Missouri Symphony (Mozart’s Requiem) and Astoria Symphony Orchestra (Knoxville: Summer of 1915) and has regularly appeared as a soloist with the Harrisburg Choral Society. Other highlights include performances with New York's Verdi Square Festival (where she “won deserved ovations” according to Anthony Tommasini of the New York Times), Asheville Lyric Opera, American Opera Projects and the role of L'Innocente in a concert performance of L'Arlesiana with the Opera Orchestra of New York under Eve Queler at Carnegie Hall.
Ms. Boudreaux was also selected to perform under the direction of Tony and Emmy Award-winner George Faison at the Inaugural Gala of New York’s Faison Firehouse Theatre for guest-of-honor, poet Maya Angelou. With an active concert and recital schedule, Boudreaux’s concert appearances have included the Historic Tennessee Theatre, Asheville Symphony Chorus, Classicopia Chamber Music Series and the Artists Recital Series at New York's St. John the Divine Cathedral. Past appearances have been with Lyric Opera Cleveland, the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center, Grandview Opera, and the American Musical Theater Ensemble.
Boudreaux has received recognition for her directing and choreography, as well. Some of her favorite productions have been Pippin, The Immigrant, Moon Over Buffalo, and Candide.
A fervent believer in performing-arts education, Ms. Boudreaux also offers private coaching, specializing in preparing students for college auditions in music theatre and vocal performance, guiding them through the entire college application process. Heather Brown Varley (Barbara) is so excited to make her debut with APTCo!! A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in acting and musical theater, Heather has toured the U.S. with 42nd Street as Dorothy Brock. Regional credits include South Pacific, Titanic, Bells Are Ringing, Annie, Assassins, Side Show and Carousel to name a few!!! Heather has also performed numerous cabaret shows in NYC and Asbury Park in the Housewives of Monmouth County!
